Agasthyarkoodam (Agasthya Malai) second highest peak in Kerala after Anamudi is at a height of 1,890 m above sea level. It is a pilgrimage centre for devotees of the Hindu sage Agastya.


It is one of the trekking destination and believe that very air is supposed to have healing properties. Trekking through its region takes you through thick forests that thrive with a variety of plant, animal and bird species. Woman are not allowed to reach to the top according the Hindu belief since sage Agastya was a bachelor. The best time to visit this place is from December to April.
